Homework Suggestions
Go Math Explore this site. There are math games as well as access to homework pages (in case the dog ate it)
Math Facts Have students practice math facts each day to gain automaticity.
Spelling Have students practice spelling words differently Monday-Thursday.
Monday: (Choose one)
1. Write each spelling word 3 times. (10 points)
2. Write each spelling word in Tiger Spelling. All the consonants are in black or pencil color. All the vowels are orange or another color. (10 points)
3. Choo-Choo Words: Write the entire list end-to-end as one long word, using different colors of crayons or pencils for each word (10 points)
Tuesday: (Choose one)
1. Write the spelling words in ABC order. (10 points)
2. Picture Words: Draw a picture, then write your words inside the picture (10 points)
3. Find each spelling word in a magazine or newspaper. Cut and glue them into a list. Turn in your list. (10 points)
Wednesday: (Choose one)
1. Create a riddle for five of the spelling words. Ex. Black: What color is the opposite of white? Answer: Black (10 points)
2. Write each word in your favorite color. (10 points)
3. Give someone in your family the spelling test and correct it for them. (10 points)
Thursday: (Choose one)
1. Draw a picture of each spelling word. (10 points)
2. Rainbow Spelling: Write each spelling word with each letter in a different color. (10 points)
3. Have someone give you a practice test. (10 points)
